A great winemaker of the \u003cstrong\u003eMuscadet\u003c\/strong\u003e family for a long time, he is a more than recognized figure in the \u003cstrong\u003ePays Nantais\u003c\/strong\u003e appellation. \u003cstrong\u003eJo Landron\u003c\/strong\u003e is a pioneer of \u003cstrong\u003ebiodynamics\u003c\/strong\u003e in the area. He decided to take over the family estate that had existed since the Second World War and officially settled in \u003cstrong\u003e1979.\u003c\/strong\u003e It was very quickly, in 1987, that he wanted to make all the changes by taking the decision to completely eliminate synthetic pesticides. It was in \u003cstrong\u003e2002\u003c\/strong\u003e that he obtained \u003cstrong\u003eorganic certification\u003c\/strong\u003e and it is an undeniable step that will mark the history of the domain. Certification is for him a way of accentuating and affirming the identity of the three major terroirs associated with localities: \u003cstrong\u003eamphibolite terroir\u003c\/strong\u003e,\u003cstrong\u003e sandstone-on-clay terroir\u003c\/strong\u003e on Les Houx and \u003cstrong\u003eorthogneiss\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003equartz terroir\u003c\/strong\u003e on the Stronghold of Breil and Clos la Carizière.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 class=\"\" data-end=\"1393\" data-start=\"1348\"\u003eMeticulous care from vineyard to cellar\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\" data-end=\"2085\" data-start=\"1394\"\u003eHe always pays particular attention to the work in the vineyard. It is in particular thanks to the advice of \u003cstrong\u003ePierre Masson\u003c\/strong\u003e in \u003cstrong\u003e2005\u003c\/strong\u003e that \u003cstrong\u003ebiodynamics\u003c\/strong\u003e will take on another dimension, that awareness will be strong and that the care given to the vines contributes to the balance of all future vintages. \u003cbr\u003eJo Landron owns \u003cstrong\u003e48 hectares\u003c\/strong\u003e with a large majority of \u003cstrong\u003eMelon de Bourgogne\u003c\/strong\u003e, a typical \u003cstrong\u003eMuscadet\u003c\/strong\u003e grape variety (around 95%). On the cellar side, all its vinifications are carried out plot by plot, which allows the expression of each terroir of the estate to stand out.
