Tenuta La Ca
Tenuta La Cà, vibrant wines on the shores of Lake Garda
Pietro and Aldo Giambenini return to their family land
It was in 2018 that brothers Pietro and Aldo Giambenini decided to leave the city and return to Calmasino di Bardolino, in Veneto, on the shores of Lake Garda. Their idea? To take over the land cultivated by their parents and give a new direction to Tenuta La Cà. The estate spans 15 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, including 12 hectares of vineyard, in the heart of the hills surrounding the lake. A family project where the two brothers combine their attachment to the land with a real desire to experiment.
Morainic soils and organic viticulture
The vines grow on limestone-rich morainic soils, shaped by ancient glaciers. The estate is certified organic, with careful attention paid to the natural rhythms of the vine and the lunar calendar. You will find the traditional Bardolino grape varieties, Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Corvinone, but also Garganega, Pinot Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Each plot is worked separately to preserve its identity, and the harvest is entirely by hand.
Fruity, fresh and enjoyable wines
In the cellar, Pietro and Aldo favor spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, gravity-fed transfers and low-intervention winemaking, without fining or filtration. Their goal is to preserve all the freshness of the fruit and allow the different terroirs to express themselves. With cuvées such as Dritto, a supple and delicious red Bardolino, Chieto, a delicate Chiaretto rosé, or Vin da Ciacole, an original white blending red and white grape varieties, the two brothers show another side of Veneto. Vibrant, straightforward and accessible wines that above all make you want to uncork a bottle at a beautiful table.
